Googling "had me in bulk" returns around 27k results. From what I've read, it seems like it means to be full of laughter, joy or something.

The context in my case was directed to the conversation I had with someone, although it wasn't particularly funny. Where does this phrase originated from? UK? Just a guess.

In the UK, certainly, you can buy things in small quantities or you can buy them in bulk. If you buy them in bulk then you are buying a lot - may be because you really like them
