Have mastered the same four things

What does it mean "have mastered the same four things"? in other words, please?

I don't understand what are "things" the speaker refer to, hence it's hard me to understand "mastered".

I talk to companies all over the world. No matter where I go, I always find that successful companies and successful employees have mastered the same four things when it comes to taking care of customers. The first thing they do is give away pickles. They make people happy. In other words, they’ve made serving others their number one priority.
