Have I correctly used ‘without even knowing why,’ ‘grabbed,’ and ‘the one to continue your life’? Should there really be a comma after ‘Ben’?

Without even knowing why, Vicky grabbed his hand as she said, “I promise, Ben, I’ll be the one to continue your life.”
