Have I correctly used 'walked down slowly on the carpeted floor' and 'happy tears' in these sentences? 

Robert watched as Rowena walked down slowly on the carpeted floor. He couldn’t help but cry with joy. He wiped away the happy tears. He still couldn’t believe that it’s happening. He was marrying the love of his life.
