Have I correctly used ‘stuck my right hand out’ and ‘grab’ in the sentence?

Have I correctly used ‘stuck my right hand out’ and ‘grab’ in the sentence? Should I say ‘shook my hand’ or ‘shook hands with me’?

I stuck my right hand out, waiting for her to grab it. “Wendy,” she replied softly as she (shook my hand / shook hands with me).
