Have I correctly used 'pursuing,' enhance,' and 'well-being' in this sentence? 

Joe and Jane, who are a teenage couple, must not only learn to moderate their feelings of attachment but also try to divert their attention from each other by pursuing hobbies and interests which can enhance their well-being and productivity.

How can I make the sentence more comprehensible then? What if I replace 'productivity' with 'well-being'?
