Have I correctly used 'in,' 'conduct,' 'was under the supervision of,' 'canvassing,' 'proclaimed,' and 'sworn in by' in the sentences?

Last month, citizens of the country where Abner works cast their votes in the national elections. The conduct of elections was under the supervision of their election commission. The casting of votes started at 8:30 a.m. and ended at 12 nn. The canvassing of votes lasted three hours, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. The newly elected officials were proclaimed and sworn in by the election commissioner.
