Have I correctly used 'food' and 'foods' in my sentences below?

Have I correctly used 'food' and 'foods' in my sentences below? When should I say pluralize 'food'? When should I not pluralize it? Why should I pluralize it when in fact it is an uncountable noun? Please enlighten me on this matter.

1. There are many kinds of food on my table.
2. There is much food on my plate.
3. Andy sells foods and beverages.

2. There is much (a lot of / too much) food on my plate.
3. Andy sells food and beverages.

People used to eat different foods in the winter than in the summer. In the winter, they ate winter vegetables such as cabbage, carrots and potatoes and smoked meat.
