Have had or had???

95% of of adults have had sex before marriage.

58% of teens have had sex before the age of 18.

Is this grammatically correct or should I exclude "have" from each sentence? Thank you for any help Emotion: smile

Well, it depends on the context. When you present prefect, have had, a report of the study have had sound better and past tense 'had' just tells the situation in the past. And use of present 'have' denotes a general fact.
