Use have had as present perfect just as you do with other verbs (have gone, have eaten, have seen, etc.)

Use "have had" to make the present perfect tense of "have", just as you use "have known" to make the present perfect tense of "know".

I know that pigs can't fly. > I have known that for many years. (have + PP of know)

I have a book. > I have had this book for ten years. (have + PP of have)
