Hello BrE native speaker !
I am confused how to use it in past & present perfect tense ( or may I use them without got ?)
A. I had( hadn't ) had ( got) to memorise / an orange
B. I've ( haven't ) had ( got) to memorise / an orange
C. Had I had ( got) to memorise ? / an orange ?
D. Have I had (got) to memorise ? / an orange ?
And I am also wondering, do you ( BrE native ) use plain "have" in formal situation, ex. For the government, official etc ?
Do you (BrE) use have with do ?
Ex.
A. I have an apple / I have to organize my family.
B. I do not have an apple / I do not have to organize my family.
C. Do I have an apple ? Do I have to organize my family ?
Ahm, I often heard when the english speaker (from the tourists) is no, I haven't and have you ? Have you ever heard both before ?
