We've discovered great cafe and we have gone there more than 5 times.

Present perfect for both sounds a little odd to me.

These sound fine to me:
"We've discovered a great cafe and from now on we can go there."
We discovered a great cafe, f(or instance sometime last month) and have been there more than five months.

Many people write café with an accent due to its French origins. It needs an article: We've discovered a great café and we have gone there five times.

Shouldn't it be "... we have been there five times."?

I'd use 'been', though 'gone' is not incorrect.

I have gone/been to London several times.

Can I also use either verb in reference to visiting a country?
