Hi! Everyone.
Could you tell me whether the following sentences are correct?
1-The children have usually gone to sleep by now. (But today they are still awake)
2-Me and my friend are going somewhere. We meet a stranger on our way. He was a total stranger to me but my friend knows him well and tells me that "he (the stranger) has been living in Australia all this time" that's why I don't know him.
My question is; is the sentence in bold uttered by my friend correct?
Thanks
silak12 1-The children have usually gone to sleep by now. (But today they are still awake) OK. silak12 he (the stranger) has been living in Australia all this time That is correct, but the first sentence in #2 has an error.
