What if multiple sentences are included in a question?
Would it be better off to separate them into difference sentences following the question to increase the readability?

Sure, I mistook "B" for the first letter of a surname (e.g. "Mr. B." for "Mr. Bush" - "Mr. Brown" or whatever), overlooking the absence of a period after "Mr. A".
Anyway, this doesn't undermine what I previously wrote.
