Have been

I have been working in New York until a few months ago I quit my job for personal reasons.

Can this be used?

Thank you.

No! a few months ago = time past. " infers "past to present".

  • No!
  • a few months ago = time past.
  • " infers "past to present".
  • Also when you have an action being described in a sentence with "until", it is more idiomatic and smooth placing the action after "until".
  • I made that suggestion in the other post about past perfect.
