"have" as a meaning of "experience"

  1. I spent nine hours on a plane just to have a guy interview me for five minutes about my last job.

  2. I don't want to have my house broken into so I installed the newest alarm system on the market.

I wonder whether "have" in these sentence above is used to mean "experience" and the sentences are grammatical and natural.

Could you please make some examples where "have" is used to mean "experience" as well?
