With. Magneto production was one of several potential activities that his business might conduct. If you use "by," it implies that magneto production was actually the causative agent of his business (that is, perhaps he operated a magneto and his business sprang to life). "With" implies something that occurs in parallel but does not have direct causative effect; "by" carries a very strong connotation of direct agency.

A business may be afflicted with_ financial troubles, but it may be destroyed _by bankruptcy.
