Have a nice listening

Hi

If I lend to somebody a CD with music, is it OK to say "Have a good listening" or just "Have a good fun"?

Thanks

The first seems unidiomatic to me. You can say "Have a good listen to this CD" but this has a different meaning (=you should carefully listen to this CD). For the second , you can say "Have (good, great) fun (listening to this CD).

  • Also, note that "fun" is uncountable so no article is necessary (and would be incorrect) there.

The most natural thing to say would be "Enjoy it!" or "I hope you enjoy the CD."

No. That won't work. Say Enjoy the music.
