Have a clear sight of/ on

Hello,

Is it "to have a clear sight of the target" or "to have a clear sight on the target" ?

I know there is also 'visual on' but I want to know what's the case with this particular sentence.

Thanks!

I have seen both 'of' and 'on' used. To me they sound better as

to have clear sight of a target and to have a clear sight on a target
