This one strikes me as anomalous. 'these days' suggests some unfinished activity rather than an accomplishment. Yet 'have read' suggests a finished project. Personally, I would not say this one.

Amir OghlowI have been reading two English books these days.

'these days' is not necessarily required. The listener will assume something of the kind even without it because of the use of the present perfect continuous tense. Otherwise, this is a perfectly good sentence which suggests a recent ongoing activity.
