Have

·I like to have my room clean and tidy.
·I'd like to have your hair neat.
·We'll have everything ready.

I think adding 'which is' like these below would make them sound different or strange.

·I like to have my room which is clean and tidy.
·I'd like to have your hair which is neat.
·We'll have everything which is ready.

Then what about this?

We try to fit what we see into our own pattern, but it makes it very difficult to let anything have an existence independent of ourselves,

If 'which is' were added as below, would it make it sound different in meaning or strange? Or it would still sound OK, and wouldn't change the meaning?

We try to fit what we see into our own pattern, but it makes it very difficult to let anything have an existence which is independent of ourselves.

For your information, here is the original:

Our minds work to continually label and absorb what we see and to fit it neatly into our own pattern. That done, we turn away. This is a sound survival skill, but it makes it very difficult to let anything have an existence independent of ourselves, whether f

No, adding that is wouldn't be so bad, but it's not needed. Also, to nitpick, ourselves should be us.

Good. Thanks, AG!
Aspara Gus Also, to nitpick, ourselves should be us.
It's from 'Jeanette Winterson, Imagination and Reality', by the way.
