Hate or hatred - followup

Hello! This is sorta a followup on my last post, when I asked what sentence would be more preferable to combine as a slogan together with a patch of a music group on my leather vest.
I know that this is a subject that's been touched on several times as I tried to do my own research, but I couldn't exactly understand what and why hate or hatred would be preferable for my specific case.

In my last post I asked wether the sentence
"Turning hatred into motivation since 1994" or
"Turning hate into motivation since 1994"
would be preferable for the reason that I'm planning to use it for, (Written on my vest).

From what I've gathered when trying to research this, hatred is a more concentrated form of hate, i.e against a specific person, whereas hate is more abstract, the feeling of hate in general.

Still, last time I posted I got some comments saying that hatred is probably more preferable for my use. Why or why isn't that so in this case?
The source of hate in my thinking is not aimed toward a specific object/person etc.

Sorry if I'm being nitpicky about this, but I'd like to be as formal as possible before writing something on my vest, as I won't be able to change it afterwards.

Cheers!
