What's the difference between these 2 sentences please?

1 I hate her for doing this to you.
2 I hate her doing this to you.

and could you tell me how you'd fix these 2 sentences for me please?

- What is the max age one can be to become a model./the max age to become a model.
- I thought your street was closer to mine than (this.) this being the distance???
