Has/Have

Dear Sir,

when we use have (to eat), have is generally used for plural subjects, like I have an apple in the morning. but when we talk about third person singular exmaple: Marry has/have an apple in the morning? here what is correct? has or have?

thanks

Here's one way of looking at it:

has is used when the subject is singular.

have is used when the subject is plural.

The only exceptions are the singular pronouns "I" and "you". With either of these as subject, use have.

Mary is only one person. Mary has ...

Mary and Susan is two persons. Mary and Susan hav
