This is correct, as long as you have a context in which you need to use the Past Perfect.

In many contexts, the Simple Past should be used.

Both of sentences are correct. The first sentence makes sense that you're an aged guy say that sentence at the end of your life, but the second sentence tells you have wore a proffessional suit since now.

These tenses are both correct English, but you need a context in which it makes sense to use the Present Perfect or the Past Perfect.
