Is the sentence correct?

My aunt has stopped a job as the lecture at that university.

There are several options.

My aunt has stopped her job as a lecturer at that university.

My aunt has stopped working as a lecturer at that university.

In my opinion, quit is a better word for such purpose than stop. Also, the use of past simple had better be used, therefore.
