Friends, in this sentence of mine I'm not sure I'd use has or have with the word roots. So please help me and explain me why has or have is being used. My sentence is: "Every right-wing party in the world has/have roots in some religion"
Thanks in advance!

" "Roots" is the direct object, and doesn't effect the choice of verb.
