Has or Have?

Is this sentence correct. I'm most confused about has vs. have. But any other errors pointed out would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

"Firstly, this place wouldn't be what it is were it not for you and everyone else who has made Sanctuary their home."

Top answer

First , this place wouldn't be what it is were it not for you and everyone else who have made Sanctuary their home. It is a compound subject ('you and everyone else'), so the verb is plural. Compare: You and I are friends.
