Has fallen inside the water, make it dry

My book has fallen inside the water and became wet. I'm trying to dry it out soon.
The paper has fallen inside the water so I took out and making it dry.

Please correct my sentence and suggest me better versions to.

But I wonder if the expression “has fallen inside water” is incorrect with “or just doesn’t fit this context.
