has come under frequent raids

The village has come under frequent raids in the past few months.

Is the sentence above correct? Thanks.

I guess it's OK, but I don't understand why you don't just say: " The village has been raided frequently over the last few months ". Why use three words, " come under raids " when there is a perfectly good word already, " raid ".

Thanks Huevos. I just wanted to make sure that the sentence was not incorrect. Your sentence is definitely better and perfect and easily understood.
