Hi all!

Which of the following sentence is correct?

1. The Date, displayed on the screen, indicates the date on which the patient has been admitted.

2. The Date, displayed on the screen, indicates the date on which the patient is admitted.

Please let me know.

Both are fine, Shivakumar. As one of a set of directions, both function equally well. There is no need for 'date' to be capitalized, however, and the commas are unnecessary:


'The date displayed on the screen indicates the date on which the patient has been / is admitted.'

or even more simply:

'The date displayed on the screen indicates when the patient has been
