Has been completed now

I just came across someone saying ".... has been completed now." My first reaction is that this must be wrong becuase the present perfect tense does not go with "now". Then I found some examples of ".... has been completed now that ....." on the Internet. I am not familiar with the usage of "now that" in such a way. Is this a correct usage?

I think the present perfect works fine with now. It may seem strange with "completed," since completed and perfected have similar meanings. " With "now that" there may be overlapping time frames.

We even say, "This building has been completed now for five years."

With "now that" there may be overlapping time frames. "Many new roads have been completed now that the government has loosened up its purse strings."

Sorry, Avangi. I still don't quite understand why the persent perfect can work with "now". I was taught that persent perfect refers to something that happened at an unspecified time before now. Since it is BEFORE now, I suppose "now" is not included and therefore "now" shouldn't be used. Have I misunderstood anything?
For "now that", it seems that it basically works like "because", isn't i

Hey,

When we say a sentence using the present perfect and now it gives as an idea that somethis has already been completed, for example:

"The task has been completed now" in this example we have the idea that the tas kas been already completed, and it doesn't mean that it was completed exacltly now, it might have been completed any time before now but at the current moment it is
