Hello,
i m frenchspoken person and i m tryin to write a quote
"what has been i not meant to be and remain (again)"
i 'd like to know if that sentence is correct, "to be" is used here as a state like in the bible.what i am tryin to say is that what things used to be in the past doesnt necessary need to be happening now and remaining the same..in the futre.sorry ofr my english i'm still learning.

Absolutly I was tryi^n to build the same kind of sentence with the verb "to be" meaning "to exist"...but I dont know if it is correct.Even if it s for a song I trully need to know if it okay to write it just like that.

You mean like the quote from Revelation? I think many hymns have been written with that verse, or similar ones, in mind.
