Has anyone seen these escalators

Has anyone seen these escalators before?

Hello, I have found a quick explanation on wikipedia under inclined moving walkways.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moving_walkway

here is another link
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk%3AEscalator#Tesco_Extra_Trolley_Escalator

it says " I suppose you could say it looks like a moving walkway that goes up/down in the way of an escalator" Could you correct the mistakes please?

Each person is trying to express the same thing, how would you correctly say this your way? What does he mean by wheel powered?

They are made of thin disks which fall into the grooves of the escalator hence the trolley sits on the axles and isn't wheel powered until it gets back to flat ground.

The grooves in the trolley wheels slide over grooves in the escalator providing a safe journey to upper floors.

I think it's something to do with the grooves on the track locking into similar bits on the trolley.

Trolleys that have specially designed wheels that locks in on the grooves of the escalator floor to prevent movement.

Thank you very much

Hello Dave,

Thank you for the link.

There are explanations and sentences that explain the mechanism but could you tell me if the above seem correct to you or would you change a few things?

Could you tell me if the underlined parts are correct?
