IBM have/has acknowledged that not everyone uses DB2.

which one is right?

There are two boys,one was born in 1985, another was born in 1986.

the latter two parts are the same in stuctures. how to express this sentence in a simple way.

Both are. If you see IBM as an entity (it), use "has". If you see IBM as a group of individuals (they), use "have".

"i think have is used to say one aspect, while has you present more info. because the company has more to offer..." so she thought has is right.
