Hard riddle

Question

I dont have the answer to this but its got me stumped.

The road trailed off in two directions
One to the land of Plus
One to the land of Minus
To stand still
Would mean moss

Which one to choose...

Maybe that's the real number line in Mathematics. On the right of zero  is plus and on the left is minus and what you are standing is the  origin.
