Hard questions on article and proper noun?
Hi,
1. In a thread named 'Why "the" in front of a game name?" started by an Anon, it, I think, asked whether 'the' should be part of the sentence.
It is cool and exciting as the Playstation 3.
In that thread, if I have interpreted Lazarus's explanation correctly, I think he said that 'Playstation 3' is simile and talking about a concept. Would you buy that argument?
Could a proper name considered a concept?
2. Can I put the word 'some' in front of a product name (are product names considered a proper name?) like 'some Snickers'? I think it can't be done for all product names. Correct?
I had some Snickers during school break time.
3. Can one make countable of a mass of people? I have seen a similar thing done for a sum of amount, but for a mass/group of people?

I don't have any rules handy, but 'the' before 'Playstation' sounds odd to me. I use Windows on my computer, not 'the Windows'. However, I might say that "the Windows system is not as good as people say".

Le us pretend I have a brand or type of lotion named "Dingding" and I think I can say this:
Let us try some Dingding on my hand and check out if it really moisturalizes my hand as well as John said it could.
If I say "some Dingding," could it mean some of the lotion in the bottle or some of Dingding lotion in general?
