Grammar

Happy that / about / for someone to infinitive?

1. She was happy about her son becoming a doctor.

2. She was happy for her son to become a doctor.

3. She was happy that her son had become a doctor.

In my opinion, the third one sound most natural.

I can't seem to figure out whether the first one sounds acceptable,

and the second one sounds awkward to me.

I'd like to know if they mean the same thing or there are differences between them.

What are your opinions and reasons?

The first is the most native. The second would be used only if he was not yet a doctor. The third is standard grammar.
