Happy, but for so happy ill secured

Hi, I read a phrase from "Paradise lost" by Milton.

"Happy, but for so happy ill secured".

I couldn't understand what it means, so I looked up translations in my native language, then found a translation.

"(Someone is) happy, but the happiness won't last"

Could someone tell me this translation is right? Whether right or wrong, could you please help me understand this phrase?

Thank you!!
