Hello,

Which of the following is correct?

1. This occurred back when I was in 4th class.
2. This happened back when I was in 4th class..

Both are OK. in 4th class.. What you call this depends on where you live.

'occurred' seems more formal than 'happened', but both are fine.

Sometimes you also see 'took place'.
