Happen as exactly as?

Bear in mind that during the trip, anything can happen and probably will. Save yourself some stress and don’t expect everything to happen as exactly as you planned it.

Is the bold part natural? To me, the first "as" should be removed. Here's my take:

This is not comparison ("as big as"). I believe it's something like "don't expect everything to happen exactly (IN) THE WAY you planned it." This "(in) the way" is synonymous with "as", and the correct construction is therefore, "don’t expect everything to happen exactly as you planned it".

Another approach: this is a correct sentence, "don’t expect everything to happen as you planned it". One "as", of course. We can intensify this by adding "exactly", and we get "don’t expect everything to happen exactly as you planned it".

Moreover, in the Corpus, we don't have any frequency for "happen as exactly as", "happen as exactly" and the like.
