Hang over one’s head

Hi,

“I have a lot of deadlines hanging over my head.”

What could I replace ‘hang over one’s head’ with?

What about these?

‘breathing down my neck’

‘weighing on me’

Any other suggestions?

Thank you so much.

I wouldn't. Deadlines don't breathe, even figuratively. Your editor is breathing down your neck.

Ann225‘weighing on me’

Nor this one, but it's hard to say why. W
