Hang out vs hang around

Hi :

Can someone please explain what's the difference between the "hang out with friends" and " hang around with friends"? Big thanks.

No difference. The use of these idioms is probably dependent on the local dialect. I see "hang out" most often - meaning going to a favorite meeting place and just visiting, talking, laughing, eating and drinking, etc.
