"Hang dry the clothes on the hangers."

"Hang dry the clothes on the hangers."

Hang dry is one word or a contraction of Hang and(to) dry? I cannot see it in any dictionaries. Thank you so much as usual for your help and time.

It’s a phrasal verb, and it should be hyphenated. I believe air-dry is more common.
