Handcraft

What is the word used for the stuff children make with hands usually with colorful paper and cardboard?

I can think of handcraft or handy work. but I have no idea if they are right.

THanks in advance

Simply "crafts" will do. Often, the word is used in conjunction with "arts", as "arts and crafts". but only if the work is not done by a professional.

I think "handcrafts" will be received well enough by most English speakers, but "handy work" or "handiwork" generally means "skilled physical labor", like plumbing or carpentry...but only if the work is not done by a professional.
