Do both these sentence mean the same:


a) "She REACHED OUT her hand and all she said was "I am pleased to meet you."


b) "She STUCK OUT her hand and all she said was "I am pleased to meet you."

" Yes, but "stuck out her hand" doesn't sound as nice. "stick out" suggests "be conspicuous", "be obvious", "be obtrusive". CJ
