I don't hear "hair cutter."

Sometimes I hear "He cuts hair."

He's a good barber. [Y]

Hi,

I so rarely hear the word 'barber' that it sounds old-fashioned to me.

I'd expect to hear something like 'He cuts hair well' or 'He gives good haircuts'.
