Hadn’t/didn’t

Are both okay:

If you hadn’t told me I would’ve thought you were White.

And

If you didn’t tell me I would have thought you were White.

I think the first one is correct , only you need to add a coma after "me". But about the second one, I don't think so. " Because, you used Simple Past in the second sentence, so the structure of the "If Clause" should be changed as well.

"If you didn't tell me, I would think you were White."

Or

"If you didn't tell me, I would be thinking you were White."
