My friend asks me:

Did you talk to her about that situation yet?

And what's the difference between saying:

I hadn't gotten to that yet. And

I haven't gotten to that yet.

Which one is the correct usage?

I think you need to omit yet from the question:
Did you talk to her about that situation?
And the answer would be:
No, I didn't get to that.

Or, you can rewrite the question as follows:
have you talked to her about that situation yet?
In which case, the answer would be:
No, I haven't gotten to that yet.
