Had you doing... Isn't it grammatically wrong?

1. She had me "do" the dishes for her

2. She had me "doing" the dishes for her

I know the first sentence is correct for sure BUT how could the 2nd sentence be possibly correct?

If it is right, i don't get it when i think of the idioms i memorized, have+object+p.p and have+object+root verb

Is the 2nd sentence fine?

This is fine.

It suggests she had me doing them for a long period of time. eg While she lay on the sofa and watched TV, she had me doing the dishes for her.

or that she made me do them habitually. eg I usually don't do housework, but after I lived with her for a month, she had me doing the dishes for her ev
